Hiwa K With Jim White Once Upon A Time In The West

Hiwa K’s project ... With Jim White Once Upon A Time In The West is an effect of his friendship and longterm collaboration with Jim White, American ex-soldier and now a janitor at the German Academy of Fine Arts, where the artist studied. The 10-minute performance makes reference to the final scene of the duel in „Once Upon A Time In The West”, Sergio Leone’s spaghetti western. The project along with participation of Gdańsk musicians and vocalists reproduces the soundtrack of the famous scene to Ennio Morricone’s music. The piece of work attends to the issues of redistribution of dominating culture, representation and competency. It is thematically connected with Estrangement exhibition.

Le Batard de la Raison / Rozumu Bękart

The band Le Batard de la Raison/ Rozumu Bękart is a group of young people joined by the love of „Pod Budą” band, Violetta Villas and mutual dreams of figure skating career. After hearing their music, Przemysław Dyakowski said „play it a-moll and I will play it free”. And that is what happened. The band aesthetics can be described as unpretentious. Their music is a mixture of hip-hop, sung poetry, bar storytelling and antidepressants. It is a challenge thrown at Tricity show-business big fish and a treat for anyone whose central nervous system is able to process and assimilate compound sentences.

CHARITY AUCTION

On the same day the charity auction will take place, on the display of which there will be about 50 pieces of Polish internationally renowned artist, which were gathered in a public collection. You will have a chance to bid pieces of such artist like: Mirosław Bałka, Bogna Burska, Roman Dziadkiewicz, Katarzyna Górna, Zuzanna Janin, Grzegorz Klaman, Katarzyna Kozyra, Zbigniew Libera, Ewa Partum, Robert Kuśmirowski, Dominika Skutnik, Michał Szlaga, Ania i Adam Witkowscy, Alicja Żebrowska.
