Bożena Elterman’s most recent production „Heretics, Heterics, Hedonists, Celebrities” refers to the aesthetics of the period between the wars of the twentieth century, and her own art project – the Cynada Theatre refers to a German Expressionism and artists such as Rudolf von Laban and Mary Wigman.
Bozena Eltermann invited to collaboration on this project prominent artists and musicians
Olo Walicki & Gaba Kulka and an excellent photographer
Małgorzata Ziębińska. Their activities will consist of a series of events around the play "Heretics, Heterics, Hedonists, Celebrities." The organization plans a launch in Warsaw and Gdansk with the participation of artists, musicians Olo Walicki and Gaba Kulka. At the entrance to the Wyspa Art Institute, where the Gdansk premiere
will be taking place, as well as after the show - during the banquet - a multimedia presentation of Malgorzata Ziembinska’s photography for Cynada Theatre will take place.
"Heretics, Heterics, Hedonists, Celebrities’ are four labels which put people into categories, into which they do not fit as usual. Simultaniously there may exist different aspects of one person.
Each of the characters appearing on the scene has its time and is the main actor for a while. Here having the time is to have everything and be able to do everything. Nothing is right or wrong, and everything is possible.
Scenes are interwoven together to form a story that has no beginning nor end, nor is it accidental. A woman in a red cocktail dress is based on the table, buttocks and hands resting on its edge. Both hands are in contact at the height of the heart and once opened, starting with an impulse, as a blooming bud at an accelerated pace. Moves a step forward as if to the steppe, but slightly in a trance. Mature, has mature doubts.
A man in a suit claps his hands with various techniques, warms his wrists waving them at high speed when they are inert. He sits and applauds with great delight. Motion Theater, the theater of now. Aesthetic. Immoral, therefore real. Based on the relationship with the viewer who decides what to watch.
Premiere performance has been produced as a part of activities financed by the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship for the culture activist.
